FED: Fans can party 'alongside' Paris Hilton on NYE

MELBOURNE, Dec 24 AAP - Fans of celebrities including Paris Hilton and Australian swimmer
Stephanie Rice will be able to mix it up with their idols at the world's first online
3D party on New Year's Eve.

Professional party girl Hilton is set to host the New Year's Eve event from Sydney
nightspot Trademark, which will be streamed live over social networking platform The Bongo
Virus.

For a fee, fans can log on to the site www.bongovirusnye3d.com and by using a free
internet plug-in can create their own avatars to virtually interact with other partygoers
in a 3D online environment.

"The 3D party palace will plunge users into another universe with its realistic replica
of the Sydney NYE party," Bongo Virus spokesman Richard Jabara said.

"From the paparazzi and photographers following Paris Hilton, to nightclub dancing
on the main dance floor, users will be able to experience the unimaginable."

Rice, herself a famous party girl after a busy year building a profile around the Beijing
Olympics, had also accepted an invitation to the celebrity party, according to News Limited
newspapers.
