Qld: Elderly man fatally runs over 78-year-old woman on driveway
An elderly man has run over a 78-year-old woman while trying to park his car out the
front of a Gold Coast residence.
A police spokeswoman says the 80-year-old man accidentally collided with the woman
on the driveway of the Arundel residence at about 6.30 (AEDT) last night.
The woman was transported to Gold Coast Hospital but later died.
It's not known if the couple were husband and wife.
The accident caps off a horrific night in southeast Queensland .. which has also seen
a man in his early 20s die when he crashed his 4WD into a creek.
