I have been intending to write a column on this topic for months, and am happy to finally do so in this issue. Last fall, the membership of the Society overwhelmingly approved the proposed changes to the AMS Constitution, with more than 95% of those members voting approving the amendments. A number of the changes were simply corrections or updates to procedural issues, such as allowing electronic voting to be used to carry out Society business (you will see this change starting with the election this fall).
